Have you heard about this?
I recently discovered something amazing that I want to share with you.
It is automatic writing. Maybe you have heard of it?
I have used this technique many times in the past three years since my mother died because it made me feel good. I didn’t call it automatic writing back when I first began using it, it just came to me to open a “dialogue” with her.
I would write and ask questions. I believed I was tapping into my memories of her and what she might say in answer. It was a way to stay in touch or feel closer to her after she passed so suddenly and unexpectedly. I strongly desired the connection and of course, still do.
I have since learned to use that style of writing to ask many things and discovered a whole new way of using it.
Automatic writing is a technique to access higher consciousness or your higher self if you will. People call it many things.
In Tim Kelley’s book “True Purpose, 12 Strategies For Discovering the Difference You Are Meant to Make”, I believe he writes that for him, he feels as though he is accessing “God.”
I’m not sure exactly what I am accessing when I use automatic writing, but it is definitely inspired and always leaves me feeling uplifted and answers many difficult questions I have so often. I will tell you that due to the incredibly inspired answers I receive I often do believe I am tapping into a consciousness greater than my immediate limited one. And often, I feel I am “talking” with my mother due to the way I feel as I write. But that is another story… perhaps for another time.
I’ve come to love writing in this way.
My long letter to my mother became our story together which I titled “Memories of the Sun.”
What I realized from that writing is something that the Indian hugging saint Amma has said and which has inspired me greatly:
“Though the sun is thousands of miles away, still the lotus blooms. Distance is no barrier. Amma (and love) is with you always.”
